Condition Details
The comic appears to be in excellent condition within its polybag. Visible corners are sharp. There is a very slight hint of soft blunting on the bottom left corner and minor surface friction on the bag that shouldn't affect the book. No visible spine ticks or color-breaking creases through the plastic.
Estimated Market Value
Raw: $6.99 - $10.00 | Graded (9.8): $40.00 - $60.00
Recent Sales
Recent raw copies have been selling consistently at or slightly above the $6.99 cover price. Graded 9.8 copies are beginning to appear in the $50 range on secondary markets.
Grading Recommendation
Not recommended for professional grading at this time unless for personal collection preference. As a modern, mass-produced Black Label book, the cost of grading often exceeds the immediate market value increase unless it achieves a 9.9 or 10.0.
Notable Features
DC Black Label title; Prestige format (cardstock cover); Pulp/Noir era setting; first issue of a three-part limited series.
Authentication Notes
Authentic first printing. Features the modern DC logo with the 'Black Label' branding. The high-quality matte cardstock texture and print density are consistent with legal DC prestige releases from early 2024.
