The conclusion of the three-issue prestige miniseries event. The alien Alliance is defeated on Earth, but a Gene Bomb is detonated that affects any human with the 'metagene.' This event served as a major reboot for the powers of several DC characters and introduced the concept of the metagene into DC lore.
