Recent Sales
Recent sales for mid-low grade raw copies range from $10 to $35 depending on specific wear. High-grade CGC 9.8 copies can exceed $400, but low grades move slowly.
Grading Recommendation
Not recommended for professional grading. The costs of grading/shipping would exceed the market value of the book in this 3.0-4.0 condition range. Better kept in a fresh bag and board for personal collection.
Notable Features
Written and illustrated by legendary creator Jack Kirby. Early Bronze Age key featuring the 1st appearance of Hatch-22 (The Six-Million Year Man). Features the CC (Curtis Circulation) logo in the price box.
Authentication Notes
The book shows authentic 1970s newsprint aging. The UPC barcode placement and 30-cent price point are consistent with primary distribution for 1977. No signs of reproduction; age-appropriate tanning on page edges visible through the bag.
