Condition & Value

Condition Grade

Very Fine- (7.5 - 8.0)

Condition Details

Moderate spine stress marks/ticks visible. Slight blunting on the bottom left corner. Minor edge wear along the right-hand side of the front cover. The gloss appears well-maintained, but there is some slight surface puckering near the spine.

Estimated Market Value

Raw: $3 - $8 | Graded (9.8): $40 - $60

Recent Sales

Raw copies typically sell for under $10 in high grade. Recent 9.8 graded sales fluctuate based on character popularity but remain a low-tier investment book.

Grading Recommendation

Not recommended for professional grading. The cost of CGC/CBCS grading would exceed the current market value of the book. It is best kept as a reader copy or in a bag/board for a personal collection.

Notable Features

Features a classic 'Wolverine vs. Sunfire's Guards' cover by Arthur Adams. Notable for containing original backup material not found in the original Uncanny X-Men run.

Authentication Notes

Standard 1980s newsprint interior with a semi-glossy cover. Printing registration looks correct; colors are vibrant and consistent with 1988 Marvel production standards. No signs of restoration visible.
