Condition & Value
Condition Grade
Very Fine- (CGC 7.5)
Condition Details
Visible corner blunting on the top left and bottom left. Minor spine stress visible through the bag. There is slight edge wear along the top margin. Deep black ink on the cover often shows scuffing, but this copy appears relatively clean under the plastic.
Estimated Market Value
Raw: $15 - $25; Graded (CGC 9.8): $150 - $200
Recent Sales
Recent raw copies in Mid-High grade range have sold for $18 to $22 on eBay and MyComicShop. Graded 9.6 and 9.8 copies have a significant premium due to the black cover showing wear easily.
Grading Recommendation
Not recommended for grading unless it is a guaranteed 9.6 or higher. The cost of grading exceeds the value of a 7.5-8.5 copy. However, it is a high-quality candidate for a 'Press and Clean' to remove non-color breaking waves visible in the plastic reflection.
Notable Features
Magazine format (Bronze Age). Features Thulsa Doom, the primary antagonist from the Conan the Barbarian film. Also contains Solomon Kane content which is highly sought after by Howard fans.
Authentication Notes
Authentic magazine-sized black-and-white publication. Correct price point of $1.25 for 1979. UPC barcode present in bottom left corner matches distribution standards for late 70s Marvel magazines.
