Condition & Value
Condition Grade
Fine (CGC 6.0)
Condition Details
Visible moderate spine stress with color-breaking ticks. Significant corner blunting on the top left and bottom right. Notable tanning/yellowing along the outer white margins and top edge. Surface wear and possible slight foxing visible in the white background of the cover.
Estimated Market Value
Raw: $3 - $8 | Graded (9.0+): $30 - $50
Recent Sales
Recent raw copies in Mid-Grade (FN/VF) have sold for $4-$7 on eBay. High-grade CGC 9.8 copies rarely surface but command roughly $80-$100.
Grading Recommendation
Not recommended for professional grading. The estimated grade of 6.0-7.0 would result in a market value lower than the cost of the grading fees and shipping. Best kept in a Mylar bag with a backing board for personal collection.
Notable Features
First appearance of Null and Void. Features the 'The New DC' branding box. This is a Direct Edition copy (identified by the stars/graphic in the UPC box area).
Authentication Notes
Appears to be an authentic 1983 copper/bronze age comic. Paper stock reveals natural oxidation (yellowing) consistent with age. Ink saturation and 'The New DC' promotional trade dress are correct for the period.
