Condition & Value
Condition Grade
Very Fine / Near Mint (CGC 9.0)
Condition Details
The cover appears flat with strong color vibrancy. Minor spine stress ticks are visible along the left edge. Slight blunting on the bottom right corner. No major tears or creases are evident from the image, but light surface wear may be present on the back or interior.
Estimated Market Value
Raw: $3 - $8; Graded (9.8): $40 - $60
Recent Sales
Recent raw copies in similar condition have sold for approximately $5. High-grade CGC 9.8 copies occasionally reach $55 on secondary markets due to the Clone Saga nostalgia.
Grading Recommendation
Not recommended for professional grading. The cost of grading exceeds the current market value of the comic unless it is a guaranteed 9.8 and the collector has a personal affinity for the Clone Saga era. A 'Press and Clean' would benefit the minor spine ticks.
Notable Features
Part of the controversial but highly collectable 'Clone Saga'. Features Scarlet Spider (Ben Reilly) and Kaine. Direct Edition with UPC barcode and 'Direct Edition' text in the bottom right corner.
Authentication Notes
The comic appears authentic based on the standard 1990s Marvel gloss, correct logo typography, and period-accurate 'Direct Edition' barcode. Staple placement appears factory-standard.
