Condition & Value
Condition Grade
Fine (CGC 6.0)
Condition Details
Visible spine stress and color-breaking ticks along the left edge. Some corner blunting on the bottom right and top left. Visible surface wear/scuffing on the right-side white border. Minor edge wear and slight tanning of the back cover/interior pages expected given the age and paper stock.
Estimated Market Value
Raw: $5-$12 USD; Graded (CGC 9.8 equivalent): $50-$70 USD. Note: UK Price Variants have a niche market.
Recent Sales
Comparable Marvel Tarzan mid-grade issues typically sell for $3-$8 in bulk lots. Higher grade specimens (9.4+) reach $25+.
Grading Recommendation
Not recommended for professional grading. The cost of CGC/CBCS grading ($25+) exceeds the current market value of the comic in this condition. A clean and press would not elevate it high enough to justify the expense.
Notable Features
Final issue of the series. Features 12p UK price variant. Includes a barcode (Direct Edition/Newsstand for the era). Notable for being the conclusion of Marvel's brief license of the Edgar Rice Burroughs character before it transitioned to other publishers.
Authentication Notes
Colors appear consistent with 1970s bronze-age offset printing. Staple placement and 'Marvel All-Colour Comics' banner are authentic to the UK distribution of the time. No signs of restoration or modern reproduction.
