Condition & Value
Condition Grade
Very Fine/Near Mint (CGC 9.0)
Condition Details
The Chromium cover shows minor surface scuffing common to the material. Visible spine stress ticks that do not appear to break color significantly. Corner blunting on the top left and bottom left. Minor edge wear. The polybag has likely caused a slight bend/bowing that should be fixable with pressing.
Estimated Market Value
Raw: $5 - $15 | Graded (9.8): $60 - $90
Recent Sales
Recent eBay sales for raw copies range from $4 to $12 depending on condition. CGC 9.8 copies have recently sold in the $75 range.
Grading Recommendation
Not recommended for professional grading unless the collector believes it is a guaranteed 9.8. The cost of grading often exceeds the raw market value for mid-to-high grade copies of this specific era of Valiant comics.
Notable Features
Key origin issue. Significant for the 'Chromium' wrap-around cover which was a hallmarks of 90s Valiant collectibility. Includes a 'coupon' inside for the Bloodshot #0 Gold variant offer.
Authentication Notes
Authentic Valiant product. The Chromium ink registration is crisp, and the $3.50 cover price is correct for the standard 1994 release. No signs of reproduction or counterfeiting.
