Condition & Value
Condition Grade
Very Fine- (7.5)
Condition Details
Visible spine stress ticks (some color-breaking), minor corner blunting, slight edge wear along the top edge, and minor surface scuffing on the bottom right corner. The cover appears relatively flat with good gloss conservation.
Estimated Market Value
Raw: $15 - $25; Graded (CGC 9.0+): $60 - $100
Recent Sales
Recent eBay sales for raw copies in similar condition average $20. Graded 9.8 copies can fetch upwards of $150, but copies in the 7.0-8.0 range typically sell for under $65.
Grading Recommendation
Not recommended for professional grading unless for personal collection preservation. The cost of shipping and grading fees would likely exceed the immediate market value of a mid-to-high grade raw copy.
Notable Features
First appearance of the Grey Hulk since the character's original origin in Hulk #1. Part of the 'Marvel 25th Anniversary' logo month. Features the Newsstand UPC barcode.
Authentication Notes
Authentic first printing. Features correct 75-cent price point, newsstand barcoding, and late-80s style newsprint interior. The 'Marvel 25th Anniversary' frame at the top left is consistent with issues published in late 1986.
