Condition & Value
Condition Grade
Near Mint (9.4)
Condition Details
The comic appears to be in high-grade condition. It shows sharp corners and a flat cover. There is very minimal spine stress visible near the lower staple and a slight blunting at the top left corner through the bag. Overall gloss is excellent and colors are vibrant.
Estimated Market Value
Raw: $5 - $15 | Graded (CGC 9.8): $40 - $60
Recent Sales
Raw copies typically sell for $5-10 plus shipping. CGC 9.8 copies have recently settled in the $50 range as the initial 'New 52' hype has cooled over the years.
Grading Recommendation
Not recommended for professional grading unless for personal collection sentimental value. The cost of grading (approx. $35-50 with shipping) outweighs the market value of a 9.4-9.8 raw copy.
Notable Features
Relaunch of the title under The New 52 banner. Includes Direct Sales barcode with '00111' suffix indicating first printing. Art by fan-favorite David Finch.
Authentication Notes
Authentic first printing. Features correct 'The New 52!' header, proper DC logo for the 2011 era, and the correct $2.99 price point. Ink density and paper stock appear consistent with late 2011 DC manufacturing.
