Condition & Value
Condition Grade
Near Mint (CGC 9.4)
Condition Details
The book appears remarkably flat and glossy. Minor blunting on the top-left corner and very slight spine stress marks near the bottom staple are visible. The edges appear clean and colors are vibrant without visible fading.
Estimated Market Value
Raw: $3 - $8 | Graded (CGC 9.8): $40 - $60
Recent Sales
Raw copies typically sell for under $10. CGC 9.8 copies have recently sold in the range of $50 plus shipping. It is not currently a high-demand key issue.
Grading Recommendation
Not recommended for professional grading. The cost of grading (approx $25+) exceeds the current market value for a raw copy, and the potential ROI for a 9.4-9.6 grade is negligible.
Notable Features
Features the 'Power Pact' cover. Significant for establishing the ethical conflict at the heart of the Identity Crisis miniseries regarding the JLA's secret mind-wiping methods. Direct Edition with UPC '00211' indicating issue 2, first printing.
Authentication Notes
The glossy cover stock, 2004-era DC logo, and barcoding for the Direct Edition are consistent with authentic copies. Printing registration around the 'Power Pact!' text is sharp.
