Moderate spine stress with color-breaking ticks along the left edge. Minor corner blunting on the bottom left and top right. Slight surface wear/shelf scuffing visible on the dark areas of Kingpin. Slight yellowing of the white borders and back cover paper stock. Horizontal 'stacking' indentations visible under light reflection.

Raw copies in similar newsstand condition typically sell for $18 to $22 on eBay. CGC 9.6 copies have recently moved for approximately $85.
Grading Recommendation

Features the Newsstand UPC barcode in the bottom left corner, which is increasingly preferred by collectors over the Direct Market Spider-Man head logo. Features Hobgoblin vs. Kingpin.
Authentication Notes
The comic appears authentic based on the correct paper stock reflection for the early 80s, proper dot-matrix coloring in the logo, and age-appropriate oxidative tanning on the page edges visible through the bag.
