Condition & Value
Condition Grade
Fine (CGC 6.0)
Condition Details
The book shows several defects typical of a mid-grade copy. There is visible spine stress with color-breaking ticks. The bottom-left corner shows blunting and minor paper loss. There is a horizontal crease toward the bottom-right. The top-right corner is obscured by a retail price sticker which may affect the grade depending on residue or damage upon removal. The plastic bag appears wrinkled, which may hide further surface indentations.
Estimated Market Value
Raw: $5 - $10 / Graded (9.8): $60 - $80
Recent Sales
Recent raw copies in similar mid-grade condition have sold for $3 to $8. Near Mint copies average $15. High-grade 9.8 slabbed copies fluctuate between $65 and $95 depending on shipping costs and demand.
Grading Recommendation
Not recommended for professional grading. The current estimated grade of 6.0 is for a common modern book; the cost of grading (approx $30-50 plus shipping) significantly exceeds the market value of the comic. It is best kept as a reader copy or for personal collection in its current state.
Notable Features
Features Deadpool in a 'Team X-Men' costume. It contains humor regarding Wade Wilson's desperate desire for validation and his dynamic with the mutant community during the 'Dark Reign' era.
Authentication Notes
The comic appears authentic. It features the standard Marvel logo of the era, the correct barcode (UPC) for a Direct Edition in the bottom left, and standard modern glossy paper stock. The MyComicShop inventory sticker in the top right is a known retailer marker and does not indicate a counterfeit.
