Condition & Value
Condition Grade
Very Good / Fine (CGC 5.0)
Condition Details
Visible spine stress marks and ticks, moderate corner blunting especially on the bottom right, slight yellowing/tanning of the cover edges, and minor surface wear/creasing consistent with handling. The spine shows some color break.
Estimated Market Value
Raw: $15 - $35 USD; Graded: $60 - $120 USD (Market for foreign editions is niche compared to US Marvel counterparts)
Recent Sales
Heritage editions of 1970s Marvel titles typically sell for 20-40% of the value of the US equivalent unless a specific rarity is established. Recent similar Heritage Iron Man issues in mid-grade range from $20 to $40.
Grading Recommendation
Not recommended for professional grading unless for sentimental reasons. Foreign editions, while collectible, generally do not see the same value multiplier from CGC grading as the original US Silver/Bronze age keys.
Notable Features
Foreign language edition (French); Heritage Editions logo in the top left; 'Format Special En Francais' banner; Reprints the iconic cover art from US Iron Man #35; Features Iron Man and The Hulk.
Authentication Notes
Authentic Editions Heritage printing. Identifiable by the distinct 'EH' logo, the 35c price point typical for the Canadian market at that time, and the French translated dialogue bubbles.
