Condition & Value

Condition Grade

Good (CGC 2.0) to Good/Very Good (CGC 3.0)

Condition Details

Heavy spine roll, multiple heavy spine stress ticks with color breakage, blunted and rounded corners, edge wear and chipping along the borders, creasing throughout the cover, surface scuffing, and tanning/yellowing of the paper. There is also what appears to be a signature written in marker across the cover art.

Estimated Market Value

Raw value: $3 to $10. Graded value is likely not economical due to the low condition grade and cost of professional grading.

Recent Sales

Copies in low-grade raw condition typically sell between $2 and $8 on secondary marketplaces like eBay.

Grading Recommendation

Not recommended for professional grading (CGC/CBCS). The cost of grading and potential pressing would far exceed the market value of the comic in this condition grade.

Notable Features

Features an iconic and striking Norm Breyfogle cover depicting Batman swarmed by cats and shadowed figures. This copy is a Direct/Newsstand variant featuring a UPC barcode.

Authentication Notes

Appears to be an authentic period print with standard newsstand paper stock, traditional dot-matrix color separation typical of 1990 DC publications, and standard staple placement. The hand-written signature on the front is unverified.
