Condition & Value
Condition Grade
Very Fine- (CGC 7.5) to Very Fine (CGC 8.0)
Condition Details
Minor spine stress/ticks visible along the left edge. Slight blunting on the bottom right corner. Excellent color vibrancy. Visible tanning on the top and right edges of the front cover which is common for 1960s newsprint. General shelf wear on the bag surface may obscure finer details.
Estimated Market Value
Raw: $35 - $60; Graded (8.0): $120 - $160
Recent Sales
CGC 8.0 copies have recently sold in the $130-$150 range. Raw mid-grade copies typically fetch between $30 and $50 depending on page quality.
Grading Recommendation
Only worth grading if part of a complete high-grade set Registry quest. For resale, the cost of CGC grading ($30-$50 plus shipping) may consume the majority of the profit margin for a mid-to-high grade copy of this specific non-key issue. A professional press could improve the grade slightly by removing surface ripples.
Notable Features
Features classic Jack Kirby/Syd Shores artwork. This is a standard 'Silver Age' Marvel title. Includes 'Marvel's Bullpen Bulletins' and vintage advertisements.
Authentication Notes
Authenticity appears high. Correct 12-cent cover price for 1968. Paper stock shows appropriate age-related oxidation. Proper 'Comics Code Authority' seal placement and Marvel corner box graphics.
