Comic Description

Condition & Value
Condition Grade
Very Good/Fine (CGC 5.0)
Condition Details
Moderate spine stress and ticks; corner blunting particularly on the bottom right; visible creases on the right edge and bottom corner; moderate surface wear including minor scuffing; possible tanning on the edges of the pages; staple alignment appears standard but with slight pulling.
Estimated Market Value
Raw: $15 - $25 | Graded (estimated mid-grade): $40 - $60
Recent Sales
Recent sales for mid-grade raw copies range from $12 to $30. Higher grades (9.0+) can reach $100+, but this copy shows significant wear that limits value.
Grading Recommendation
Not generally recommended for grading. The cost of professional grading and shipping would likely exceed the resulting market value of a mid-grade (5.0-6.0) copy. It is better kept as a raw collectible unless part of a complete set project.
Notable Features
Features Shanna the She-Devil and Tharn the Magnificent; Silver Age/Bronze Age transition era; 20-cent cover price; issue precedes the famous Black Panther run which begins in issue #6.
Authentication Notes
Authentic Bronze Age Marvel comic. Displays correct 1970s print technology, including 'dot matrix' color registration and standard paper stock aging. No signs of restoration or reproduction visible from image.
