Estimated Market Value
Raw: $75 - $150; Graded (8.0): $250 - $400
Recent Sales
CGC 8.0 copies have recently sold in the range of $280-$350. Raw mid-grade copies frequently trade between $60 and $90. Higher grades (9.0+) command significant premiums due to the Silver Age black/purple cover susceptibility to wear.
Grading Recommendation
Worth grading if it is a 8.0 or better. The purple and black backgrounds on Silver Age DC comics show wear easily; this copy appears exceptionally clean. A professional press and clean could push this towards an 8.5/9.0, significantly increasing value.
Notable Features
First appearance of Bizarro-Batman. Silver Age key. Notable for its '12c' price point and the classic 'Checkered' DC top border which ran during 1966.
Authentication Notes
Authentic Silver Age DC comic. Features correct font kerning for the 1966 era, authentic 12-cent price mark, and proper color saturation. Staple placement appears consistent with factory standards.
