The issue deals with the Mother Box and the search for the Anti-Life Equation.
Condition & Value
Condition Grade
Good (CGC 2.0)
Condition Details
Heavy wear visible including significant corner rounding, cover creasing, spine stress, and general surface soiling/staining. Most significantly, there is a piece of clear adhesive tape attached to the top center of the cover and a yellow price/inventory sticker on the bottom right. Reflective glare from the plastic bag obscures some surface detail, but edges appear frayed.
Estimated Market Value
Raw: $5 - $15 | Graded (CGC 2.0): $25 - $40
Recent Sales
Recent raw sales for mid-grade (6.0) specimens hover around $25-$35; low-grade copies such as this often sell in bulk lots or for under $15 due to heavy damage (tape and stickers).
Grading Recommendation
Not recommended for professional grading. The cost of the grading service (approx. $25-$40) would exceed the market value of the book in this low condition. The presence of tape and stickers generally results in a significant grade reduction.
Notable Features
Features a crossover with Deadman. Part of the iconic Fourth World mythos created by Jack Kirby. Includes Kirby's 'Kirby Dots' and signature cosmic art style. Original 20-cent price point.
Authentication Notes
The book appears to be an authentic 1972 DC publication based on the '20c' price circle, the specific 30490 product code, and natural paper aging characteristics. No signs of a modern reprint are present.
