Comic Description

This issue features E. Honda battling The Ferret. The Malibu Street Fighter series is notable for being canceled after only three issues due to Capcom being unhappy with the creative direction, making this the final issue of the original Malibu run.

Condition & Value

Condition Grade

Very Fine- (CGC 7.5)

Condition Details

Visible color-breaking spine stresses (spine ticks), slight blunting to the bottom right corner, minor edge wear along the top, and some surface scratches visible on the bag which may indicate light scuffing on the cover gloss. The comic has a slight curve, possibly from storage, but appears structurally sound.

Estimated Market Value

Raw: $10.00 - $20.00; Graded (CGC 9.8): $60.00 - $80.00

Recent Sales

Raw copies in similar mid-to-high grade condition typically sell for $12-$15 on eBay. Graded high-grade 9.8 copies have sold in the $75 range recently due to the series' niche appeal and scarcity.

Grading Recommendation

Not recommended for professional grading. The estimated grade of 7.5 to 8.0 would not yield a market value high enough to offset the costs of grading fees, shipping, and insurance. The comic is best kept in its current protector for personal collection.

Notable Features

Final issue of the Malibu series; Features a crossover with The Ferret (a Malibu Protectors character); Iconic 'Rising Sun' background motif on the cover which was controversial; No UPC barcode on front (Direct Market).

Authentication Notes

The comic exhibits correct 1990s Malibu glossy paper stock and standard staple placement for the era. The Don Hillsman signature and '93' date are clearly visible in the lower right bottom panel. No signs of restoration or reproduction detected.
