Visible moderate spine stress/ticks (at least 3-4 visible on the left edge), slight corner blunting on the bottom left corner, minor surface wear/scuffs visible on the black backgrounds of the cover through the plastic sleeve.
Estimated Market Value
Raw: $50-$70; Graded 9.8: $500+; Graded 7.5: $80-$100
Recent Sales
Raw copies in VF condition consistently sell for $60; CGC 9.8 copies have recently sold between $550 and $650.
Grading Recommendation
In its current 7.5 state, professional grading is not recommended as the cost of grading plus shipping may exceed the value increase. However, a clean and press might improve the grade if some of the spine stress does not break color.
Notable Features
First appearance of Logan as 'Patch'. Key copper age book. This is the Direct Edition featuring the Spider-Man face logo in the UPC box.
Authentication Notes
Appears to be an authentic 1988 printing with correct $1.50 cover price, color registration for the era, and standard semi-gloss cover stock.
