Comic Description

The Easter Bunny hires Lobo to assassinate Santa Claus because Santa is taking all of the Easter Bunny's business. Lobo takes the contract, infiltrates the North Pole, slaughters Santa's elves, and brutally kills Santa Claus in an over-the-top ultra-violent black comedy story.

Condition & Value

Condition Grade

Near Mint (CGC 9.4)

Condition Details

The comic appears to be in a protective bag and board showing a very glossy cover, sharp corners, and a flat spine with no obvious color-breaking creases. Light glare obscures minor edge wear, but overall structural integrity is high.

Estimated Market Value

Raw: $15 - $30. Graded (CGC 9.8): $100 - $150.

Recent Sales

Recent raw copies in similar high-grade condition have sold in the $20 to $35 range on secondary marketplaces like eBay.

Grading Recommendation

Worth considering for grading only if aiming for a high 9.8 grade due to the modern era abundance of high-grade copies. A professional press might not even be necessary given the flat appearance.

Notable Features

Iconic painted cover by Simon Bisley, highly popular holiday-themed anti-hero classic, features the famous warning box on the cover warning of bad taste.

Authentication Notes

Standard DC direct edition indicators from 1991, proper cover stock gloss, and authentic color registration typical of the era's print runs.
