Condition & Value
Condition Grade
Very Fine- (CGC 7.5) to Very Fine (CGC 8.0)
Condition Details
Visible glare from the bag obscures some details, but there are multiple small spine stress marks (spine ticks), some of which appear to break color. Slight blunting on the bottom left corner. Some edge wear along the right side of the cover. Surface scuffing is likely given the dark ink nature of the Vertigo paper stock from this era.
Estimated Market Value
Raw: $3.00 - $8.00 | Graded (9.8): $40.00 - $60.00
Recent Sales
Recent individual sales for this mid-series issue range from $1 to $5 in various conditions. Full sets of the 4-issue mini-series typically sell for $15 - $25.
Grading Recommendation
Not recommended for professional grading. The cost of the grading service exceeds the current market value of the book. While a Peter Milligan cult classic, it is not currently a high-demand key issue.
Notable Features
Part of the early wave of DC Vertigo titles. Features the distinctive gritty art style of Ted McKeever. Suggested for Mature Readers.
Authentication Notes
The barcode (UPC) area indicates 'Direct Sales' which is standard for Vertigo titles of this era. Print quality matches early 90s DC/Vertigo newsprint-style interiors with a semi-gloss cover.
