Set in an alternate 1960s Gotham City where Oliver Cromwell's Puritan Commonwealth survived into the modern era, Bruce Wayne's parents are executed by the state security apparatus. Bruce grows up to become Batman in a grim, totalitarian theocracy where the church and state are brutally intertwined.

The book is bagged and boarded, showing overall clean cover gloss with sharp corners and minor handling wear. There is a price sticker affixed to the upper left corner of the cover. A few very light spine stress lines may be present upon closer inspection, but overall the structure is solid with vibrant black and gold ink on the cover.
