Comic Description
A gritty independent sci-fi/noir series set in a dystopian future. The story follows a character inhabiting a bleak urban landscape. Key characters include those depicted on the cover in 1980s-inspired trench coat and sunglasses attire.
Condition & Value
Condition Grade
Fine (CGC 6.0)
Condition Details
Presence of a red price sticker on the top right cover which may leave residue or cause paper pull upon removal. Significant glare from the polybag obscures the center, but visible blunting is seen on the lower left corner and light spine stress. A horizontal crease is visible across the middle-left of the cover art.
Estimated Market Value
Raw: $3 - $8; Graded (9.8): $40 - $60
Recent Sales
Recent raw copies of this independent 80s title typically sell in bulk lots or for under $10. There is very low market demand for high-grade slabbed copies.
Grading Recommendation
Not recommended for professional grading. The cost of grading exceeds the market value of the book. The red sticker on the front cover is a significant detractor that would likely lower the grade to a 5.0-6.0 range.
Notable Features
Premier Issue. Features the distinct cat logo of Lone Wolf Publications. Notable for the airbrushed style cover art by Doug Herring which was representative of 1980s indie publishing aesthetic.
Authentication Notes
Authentic 1987 independent print. The paper stock appears to be the standard matte/newsstand quality typical of Lone Wolf Publications of that era. No signs of counterfeiting as this is not a high-value target for reproduction.
