Estimated Market Value

Raw (ungraded): $20 - $35; Professional Graded (CGC 9.8): $120 - $160; Professional Graded (CGC 8.0): $40 - $55

Grading Recommendation

Borderline. While it is a key issue (1st Bishop), professional grading is usually only profitable for this era of comics if the book is a 9.6 or 9.8. This copy appears to have too many spine ticks to reach those tiers. A press and clean might improve it slightly, but it is likely better kept as a high-quality raw filler.

Notable Features

First appearance of Bishop (cameo/partial cover/full last page). Features the Captain America 50th Anniversary headshot logo in the UPC box area, typical for Marvel books in late 1991. Direct Edition copy (no barcode).

Authentication Notes

Authentic 1991 newsprint interior stock. Features the distinctive 'Whilce Portacio' signature block in the bottom right corner. Color registration on the pink energy blasts is consistent with original print runs.
