Condition & Value
Condition Grade
Very Fine/Near Mint (CGC 9.0)
Condition Details
Minor spine stress visible through polybag. Scuffing and light scratching on the black ink background which is common for this high-gloss 'Midnight Massacre' cover stock. Corners appear sharp but slightly blunted at the bottom edge. Potential polybag creases from storage.
Estimated Market Value
Raw: $5-$12 | CGC 9.8: $60-$90
Recent Sales
Recent raw sales average $8 on eBay. High-grade CGC 9.8 copies have sold for approximately $75 in recent auction cycles.
Grading Recommendation
Not recommended for grading unless it is a perfect 9.8 candidate. The cost of grading exceeds the value of a sub-9.8 copy. Pressing may help if there are non-color breaking dents, but the black background is notoriously difficult to maintain.
Notable Features
Midnight Massacre crossover part 1. Iconic Bill Sienkiewicz gold foil logo cover. Features Blade, Ghost Rider, and Frank Drake.
Authentication Notes
The gold foil stamp is crisp and integrated with the cover stock. The Marvel M logo and '90s era pricing block are authentic to 1993 Marvel production standards. Paper stock appears to be the standard glossy cover stock used for '90s gimmick covers.
