The comic appears to be currently bagged and boarded. Looking through the plastic, there is very minor blunting on the bottom left corner. The spine looks tight with no visible color-breaking stress markers. Surface gloss is high. Overall very sharp and appears to be in collectible 'new' condition.
Estimated Market Value
Raw: $5 - $8 | Graded (9.8): $35 - $50
Recent Sales
Recent sales for this specific variant raw range from $4 to $10 on secondary markets. 9.8 graded copies generally sell for around the cost of the grading fee plus the book value.
Grading Recommendation
Not recommended for professional grading unless for personal collection preference. This was a high-print-run modern book and the market value for a 9.4/9.6 does not currently outweigh the costs of grading fees and shipping.
Notable Features
This is the 'Jason Todd/Red Hood' variant cover. It features the Joker wearing the Red Hood helmet, referencing the original Red Hood identity and Jason Todd's origin story. This series was a long-awaited follow-up to a plot point established in Justice League #50 and DC Universe: Rebirth #1.
Authentication Notes
The book displays correct trade dress for the DC Black Label line. The matte/gloss contrast on the cover and cardstock quality are consistent with authentic 2020 DC publications.
