Condition & Value
Condition Grade
Very Fine (CGC 8.0)
Condition Details
Visible color-breaking spine stress ticks (particularly near the top staple and mid-spine), slight blunting of the top right corner, and minor edge wear along the bottom. The cover gloss appears intact, but there is noticeable compression along the spine.
Estimated Market Value
Raw: $10 - $20; Graded (CGC 9.8): $150 - $200; Graded (CGC 8.0): $25 - $35

Recent raw sales average between $12 and $18. CGC 9.8 copies have recently sold for approximately $175. Lower graded copies (8.0-9.0) often sell for barely more than the cost of grading.

Notable Features
First appearance of Edward Marks. Part of Marvel's 25th Anniversary cover frame series. A notable departure from mainstream comics for being one of the first successful war titles to depict Vietnam in 'real time'. Contains Direct Edition Spider-Man head in the UPC box.
Authentication Notes
Authentic 1986 printing indicated by the 75 cent price point and correct color saturation for 'Direct Edition' Marvel books of this era. Staple placement and paper stock align with standard Marvel production from Copper Age.
