Condition & Value
Condition Grade
Very Good/Fine (CGC 5.0)
Condition Details
Visible major vertical crease/bend running down the right side of the front cover; blunted corners; minor spine stress; possible discoloration or tanning along the right edge of the pages.
Estimated Market Value
Raw: $3 - $7; Graded (9.8): $40 - $60. In current 5.0 condition: $2 - $4.
Recent Sales
High-grade 9.8 copies have sold for approximately $50. Mid-to-low grade raw copies frequently sell for under $5 in bulk lots or dollar bins.
Grading Recommendation
Not recommended for professional grading. The visible vertical crease significantly lowers the grade below collectible investment levels. The cost of grading exceeds the market value of the comic.
Notable Features
Features Colossus in 'unleashed' mode. This issue is a Newsstand Edition (denoted by the barcode in the lower left) and includes a UK price variant stamp (85p).
Authentication Notes
Appears authentic. The paper aging (slight yellowing on the right edge) and the specific barcode layout for 1993 Newsstand Marvel comics are consistent with the original production.
