Condition & Value

Condition Grade

Very Good/Fine (CGC 5.0)

Condition Details

Visible moderate spine stress with color-breaking ticks; corner blunting particularly on the bottom right; minor staining or tanning on edges; a notable crease/tear on the left edge near Robin's elbow; light surface wear and some yellowing of the paper stock.

Estimated Market Value

Raw: $120 - $180; Graded (CGC 5.0): $250 - $300

Recent Sales

Recent sales for mid-grade copies (4.5 to 5.5) have ranged between $150 and $275 depending on eye appeal. High-grade copies (9.0+) command significant premiums over $1,000.

Grading Recommendation

Worth grading if a professional press and clean can improve the spine and surface. As is, it is a solid mid-grade copy. Grading would protect the value of this iconic Beatles-related key.

Notable Features

Iconic Beatles parody cover by Neal Adams. Often referred to as the 'Beatles Issue'. Features 'The Oliver Twists' (The Beatles).

Authentication Notes

Displays authentic 15-cent price point and 'DC National Comics' circular logo consistent with 1970 publication. Natural paper aging and classic Bronze Age ink saturation appear legitimate.
