A 96-page spectacular concluding 'The Black Ring' storyline. Features Lex Luthor gaining cosmic power. Condition & Value

Condition Grade

Near Mint- (CGC 9.2)

Condition Details

Visual inspection through the bag suggests sharp corners and strong gloss. There is a slight visible spine stress mark near the top staple and minor blunting on the bottom left corner. The black cover background is prone to showing fingerprints and rub wear, though none are significantly prominent here.

Estimated Market Value

Raw: $20 - $35; Graded (9.8): $90 - $130

Recent Sales

Raw copies typically sell for $20-$30 on eBay. Recent CGC 9.8 sales have settled around the $100 mark, while lower grades (9.4-9.6) often sell for $50-$70.

Grading Recommendation

Generally only worth grading if it is a guaranteed 9.8. Because of the thick 96-page 'square bound' style and dark cover, achieving a 9.8 is difficult. Likely an 8.5 to 9.2 candidate based on the photo; grading is not recommended unless for personal protection.

Notable Features

Anniversary issue (#900); First appearance of the Reign of the Doomsdays; Renunciation of US Citizenship story; Landmark anniversary issue with multiple creative teams.

Authentication Notes

Authentic first printing. Features correct $5.99 cover price and barcode ending in '0011' which denotes Direct Sales, Cover A, First Printing.
