Condition & Value
Condition Grade
Very Fine- (CGC 7.5)
Condition Details
Visible glare on bag makes perfect assessment difficult, but identified flaws include spine stress marks (color breaking), minor corner blunting on the top right and bottom left, and slight surface wear/scuffing on the white background areas. Bag shows significant wrinkling which may obscure minor surface creases.
Estimated Market Value
Raw: $125 - $175; Graded (7.5 - 8.0 range): $220 - $280
Recent Sales
Solid 9.8 copies have sold for $1,200+, but mid-grade copies like this (7.0-8.0) typically range from $150 to $250 depending on eye appeal and Newsstand vs Direct status.
Grading Recommendation
Worth grading if it presses up to a 9.0 or higher. At the current estimated 7.5/8.0, the cost of grading plus shipping may result in thin margins. A professional 'Clean and Press' is highly recommended before submission to address non-color-breaking surface dimples.
Notable Features
First appearance of She-Hulk (Jennifer Walters). Newsstand edition (identified by the UPC barcode in the lower-left corner). First issue of her solo title.
Authentication Notes
Appears authentic. Correct Ben-Day dot patterns in the skin tones, proper Bronze Age paper stock thickness visible at the edges, and period-accurate '40 cent' price box and 'First Issue' blue circle logo.
