Condition & Value
Condition Grade
Very Fine- (CGC 7.5)
Condition Details
Moderate spine stress marks and ticks along the left edge. Minor corner blunting on the bottom right. Minimal color breaking along the spine. Overall high gloss and vibrant colors preserved by the bag/board.
Estimated Market Value
Raw: $30 - $50; Graded (CGC 7.5): $100 - $140
Recent Sales
Recent 7.5 - 8.0 graded copies have sold in the $110-$150 range. Raw decent copies usually sell for $40.
Grading Recommendation
Optional. While the condition is visually striking for a Silver Age book, the market value of Secret Six #6 is relatively low compared to grading costs. Better suited for grading if part of a high-grade set completion.
Notable Features
Final issue of the original 1960s series (later revived in the 80s and 2000s). Highly contrastive black cover which is prone to showing scratches and ticks, making high-grade copies more desirable.
Authentication Notes
Consistent with 1969 printing standards: 'Superman DC National Comics' logo, 12-cent cover price, and standard yellow/black background registration. No signs of reproduction or counterfeiting.
