Condition & Value
Condition Grade
Very Fine/Near Mint (CGC 9.0)
Condition Details
Generally sharp corners with minor blunting at the top left. Very light spine stress ticks visible under magnification. Minimal color breaking along the spine. Slight surface wear on the white 'Wanted' poster section. Cover gloss appears high and well-preserved.
Estimated Market Value
Raw: $10 - $20; Graded (9.0+): $45 - $60
Recent Sales
Recent eBay sales for raw copies in similar mid-to-high grade condition range from $8 to $15. Graded 9.6-9.8 copies have reached $100+.
Grading Recommendation
Not recommended for professional grading unless a 9.8 is expected through pressing. The cost of grading currently exceeds the market value for a 9.0 copy. It is a great candidate for a protective Mylar bag and board.
Notable Features
Direct Edition copy (indicated by the DC logo in the UPC box). Features Hal Jordan guest appearance. Part of the 'Trial of the Flash' era which led up to the series' conclusion and Crisis on Infinite Earths.
Authentication Notes
Authentic 1980s Baxter-style/newsprint paper stock. Logo and price box placement ($0.75) are consistent with DC's February 1984 production standards. Correct staple placement and ink density observed.
