Estimated Market Value
Raw: $30 - $55; Graded (CGC 4.0): $70 - $90
Recent Sales
Recent sales for mid-grade (4.0-5.0) raw copies have fluctuated between $35 and $60. High-grade CGC 9.0+ copies can exceed $400.
Grading Recommendation
Not recommended for professional grading in this condition. The cost of CGC/CBCS submission plus shipping would likely exceed the added value for a 4.0 specimen. Only worth it if submitted as part of a bulk personal collection.
Notable Features
Silver Age key; Iconic Murphy Anderson cover art; Notable as a 'try-out' issue in the Showcase anthology series that revived Golden Age characters.
Authentication Notes
Appearance is consistent with 1960s DC manufacturing. Checkerboard pattern along the top (Go-Go Era) is crisp. 12 cent cover price is accurate for Oct 1966.
